Preparation by CEFR level
Goethe-Zertifikat preparation is different from school syllabus support because the target is a CEFR-level German exam. A learner preparing A1 needs different vocabulary, grammar control and task practice from a learner preparing B1 or B2.
Eurolingo starts by checking the target level, current German background and the time available. Lessons can then focus on the relevant reading, listening, writing and speaking skills for that CEFR level.
- A1 and A2 foundations for basic communication
- B1 preparation for more independent German use
- B2 preparation by enquiry for stronger academic or professional language goals
How to prepare for Goethe-Zertifikat A1 and beyond
For A1, preparation usually begins with the exam format and everyday communication topics: introducing yourself, family, work, hobbies, travel, appointments, shopping and simple written messages. Learners need enough vocabulary and grammar to understand tasks quickly and respond clearly.
A good preparation plan should include sample-style practice, listening and speaking repetition, basic writing correction and regular vocabulary review. Speaking practice matters because many learners understand more German than they can produce under exam conditions.
At higher CEFR levels, the same skills remain important but the language becomes broader and more independent. That is why Eurolingo plans Goethe-Zertifikat tuition by target level rather than using one generic exam course for everyone.
- Understand the format before practising tasks
- Build vocabulary and grammar around everyday CEFR topics
- Practise listening, speaking, reading and writing with teacher feedback
